We have had our present home for barely two years. We have a large family and extended family that relocated to the same county we live in around the same time... give or take 6 months. Our daughter teaches in a high school that has several teachers who like her moved here around the same time to teach at this paticular school (we came with her) Most of them bought homes. I was telling my daughter about what is going on and she suggested we put together a list to see just how many people we know who have purchased in the last couple of years... we have 64. California is a very transit state.. people are moving in... moving out.. or just moving. Our county in paticular is one of the few affordable areas left in this state... if you consider the adverage price is $350K where in the area we moved from it is $550K. I doubt that any of those 64 homeowners know that there could be a problem. The adverage person trusts that the realtors, brokers, title companies and lenders they hire do their jobs... scary stuff.
