I love my Brother too - but I have the scanner/printer/copier - not the fax one.  I use the scanner to scan in and email my orders but I have to tell you all my Cannon Faxphone 50 scans twice the speed for faxing - I don't know if the Brother machines you all have are faster for faxing then for email scanning.  When I bought the Cannon Faxphone I had just a regular Cannon fax and purchasing this has turned up to 3 hours of faxing to less than 1/2 hour.  So maybe you could test out both.
