We have a case we have been working on.  A suit filed where we had to do a search in 2 counties that border each other and there was a boundary line dispute.  We were in the case to testify in reference to our findings.  It went on for 2 years and the attorney's bill is well over $20,000.  It got settled last month so we have to wait for the escrow accounts to be checked over and payments to be made.  We were told it may be about another month or two.  And we have received no money at all in the beginning as a retainer or anything.
