''Free copies'' are about as free as a free puppy. There may not be a fee paid to a county office, but there is an expense involved in obtaining a ''free'' copy. My toner and paper are not free and neither is my time obtaining those copies. I have clients that don't want to pay for copies they can retrieve on line themselves. I am fine with that. Then they do have an employee's time to pull and print the on line copies we did not provide as per their instructions. Again, that is their call. Even when copies are obtained from a county office, those copies are MY copies. They are not the client's copies until I send them and bill them for said copies. When you get your car fixed and they charge you for brake pads, do you believe they only charge you what they paid for those brake pads? Nobody works for free. You want FREE copies you can spend time at your computer and print all the free copies needed and then it is a non-issue with you and the examiner.
