Jonathan,

My point exactly.  I would go so far as to say, again, based upon how Statewide Settlement, Inc. operates under my watch, if an abstractor does all he or she can to assist us in the filing of a document, only to find it short, over or missing a particular item (which is rare since our post closing department usually catches these types of errors), I still have no problem compensating for the attempt to render services.

Mr. Davis is obviously a very misguided, angry individual who does absolutely nothing but cause great concern for this industry and abstractors alike. 

Those who provide an honest days work for an honest days pay will thrive.  Those who operate under the business model that Mr. Davis does, normally gets called out.  Unfortunately, like a Hurricane, it does end, however, not until mass destruction takes place.
